Fost Plus, responsible for promoting, coordinating and financing the selective collecting, sorting and recycling of household packaging waste in Belgium launched back in June a new campaign targeting tourist sites in order to support them improving and optimising selective collection of waste. For free.
Whether a an amusement park, an animal park or a random tourist site, Fost Plus will help guide the interested establishments in the choice of waste bins and their location as well as in the waste logistics route. In addition, Fost Plus will deliver all the communication materials suited to the site of concern.
“We are particularly excited about this collaboration with Fost Plus. They came to the park several times and they taught us a lot about the best sorting approach. In collaboration with us, Fost Plus has developed new specific stickers for our fleet. These include the Boudewijn Seapark logo as well as examples of packaging waste relevant to the park, “says Sabrina van de Walle, educational manager at the Boudewijn Seapark in Brugge.
Fost Plus says that by sorting, a tourism establishment sets a good example for both the collaborators and their visitors. It is also a winning operation from a financial point of view, Fost Plus added.
